Description

Lucy Pet’s Salmon, Pumpkin & Quinoa Dog Food improves gut health, supports a healthy immune system, heart health, skin & coat, and so much more!

Discover how Lucy Pet Products can help your pet thrive.

Lucy Pet’s Salmon, Pumpkin, and Quinoa dog food uses our advanced P.B.F. Prebiotic Balanced Fiber™ to produce an optimal environment in the digestive tract for improving gut health and wellness. Our P.B.F. formulation is based on 40 years of research and studies by one of the top scientists in animal nutrition, Dr. George C Fahey.

Dogs and salmon go great together, which is why the number one ingredient in our Salmon, Pumpkin, and Quinoa Formula is Deboned Salmon from the USA.  This formula also includes chicken meal from the U.S., chickpeas (rich in protein and complex carbohydrates, including starches and fibers), delicious pumpkin (a nutritional powerhouse featuring fiber that helps aid in healthy digestion), and quinoa (a premium, digestible seed rich in protein and essential amino acids).

This grain-free formula offers a superfood blend of antioxidants and our proprietary prebiotic fiber blend to support a healthy immune system. Our food is also naturally preserved, includes all the important vitamins and minerals, and does not contain any ingredients from China.

When transitioning your dog to our higher fiber diet, some noticeable changes in stool value may occur. This reflects a healthier digestive tract. We recommend that transitioning to Lucy Pet foods be done over a five-day period.

As your pet is consuming a higher fiber diet, it is normal to observe an increased consumption of drinking water on a regular basis. Water is very important to overall health. Be sure that a bowl of fresh water is always available to your pet.

Feeding Guidelines

Feeding Guidelines – Can Dogs Eat Pumpkin?

Dogs can eat pumpkin, as it offers excellent nutritional value. While your pet is transitioning to Lucy Pet’s Formulas for Life diet, please be sure to follow the suggested guidelines below.

How to Transition to Lucy Pet Formulas for Life â„¢

The key to switching foods is to do it gradually, so your dog’s digestive system can adapt to our formula and nutrients.
Start by replacing 20-25% of the current food you are feeding with Lucy Pet Formulas for Life. Each day, gradually increase the amount of new food and decrease the amount of the former food until your pet is eating only the new diet.

If your pet tends to have a sensitive stomach, allow up to 10-14 days to fully transition to Lucy Pet’s Formulas for Life (TM)

In some instances, a pet can experience soft stools during the first week when you switch and transition to any new food. Lucy Pet Formulas for Life, digest easily and most pets transition smoothly. However, if your pet’s stool becomes loose, it may be necessary to transition more gradually to the new diet.

Be sure to temporarily eliminate any treats or wet food for the first few days, and follow feeding guidelines closely. Lucy Pet diets may require different feeding quantities than the food you were previously feeding.

How to Determine Feeding Portions

Utilize the feeding guideline chart below to reference the total recommended cups per day. Divide the total cups per day by the total number of times you feed your dog per day, to determine the portion size for each meal.

Be sure that a bowl of freshwater is always available to your dog. Remember that water is an essential nutrient for your dog. Always allow your pet to eat in peace, so they can relax and enjoy their food.

Every time I’ve bought dry food in the past I’ve kind of switched around, unsure of what to get. Always thought foods were fine, but not great. My dog always seems to have a leaky butthole (sensitive tum), so I’ve just stuck with lamb and it hasn’t been horrible. When I went to pick up his poop after eating this it was HARD for the first time ever probably, even though I’ve tried giving him pumpkin in the past. *** ADDED BONUS for having a Velcro like zipper, rather than a zip lock. SO much easier to close/keep close. Finally found my food.

My Archie and Veronica love it !! They both have white fur and sensitive skin, their fur is soft and rash free.

Gosh where do I start… Well let’s go back to when we started feeding Lucy pet food. It was almost 3 years ago I was lucky enough to find the perfect stud to breed to my female, and I wanted to make sure I was feeding a BB Queen the best food possible to make sure that I was giving the puppies the best start that they could have.

Well the food exceeded my expectations mama gained exactly the right amount of weight, the puppies were big and healthy and roly poly. in fact it was probably the best litter I’ve ever had. The puppies were super healthy had great energy, and love the food themselves. I saw changes from this litter and my previous litter a year earlier that was that another brand of dog food. The bone on these puppies was significant, and my puppies grew to be at least 3 inches taller and 10 pounds heavier in bone density than the previous litter.

I continue to feed Lucy and was able to convince the puppy families to continue with their puppies on Lucy. Jump to the next litter and again everybody was much healthier the puppies more beautiful than the last litter.

Trust these guys, trust this dog food it hasn’t let me wrong yet!

  7. Victoria Moore (verified owner)

I have a rather fussy pup and it’s hard to get her to eat anything really. I give Lucy Pet a try and she eats every bite. I Love Lucy’s Pet food for all my little fur babies well worth me giving it a try.

  8. Kris Wright (verified owner)

I have a horribly undecisive mixed terrier who has given me such a hard time for so many years regarding his feeding time. I’ve added so many incentives to his food, sometimes he would eat, other times he wouldn’t. It was so frustrating!! It even made me late for work on several occasions. Thank goodness for an excellent dog trainer in Oxnard, Keith Capsuto, (KC Dog Training), who taught me about good tasting-gut food, scheduling, and not hanging over my dog like a hawk trying to force him to eat while mama bear pressures him. He loves Lucy’s Salmon. Though is 13 yrs. old he now walks so spry and plays like an 8 mo. old puppy! Lucy’s food is a miracle!
